This article examines the concept of working capital standardization, identifies the objects of standardization and the sources of their formation, and substantiates the feasibility of item-by-item (elementbased) standardization of working capital in private sector enterprises under market conditions. The study also justifies the necessity of the widespread use of working capital standards in the planning and lending processes of service sector enterprises
